The Chairman is a concert design project for the band of the same name, framing their identity for a broader audience.
Grounded in Taiwanese culture, the work moves across temple rituals, street life, political memory, and everyday narratives, forming a condensed portrait of their world.
The concert is structured through a sequence of distinct states. Each state shifts the spatial and visual language, rearticulating the band’s identity from ceremonial intensity to introspective stillness, then to collective tension, and finally to a more playful, vernacular release.
Rather than following a linear narrative, the experience is shaped through controlled transitions, allowing multiple perspectives to coexist within a single system.
